Integrated Pest Management — Maximum Protection, Minimum Pesticide

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a long-term, environmentally sound approach to pest suppression. Instead of relying on broad-spectrum spraying, IPM combines inspection, structural and procedural changes, monitoring, and only the targeted use of pesticides when other measures aren’t sufficient.

The aim: control the pest while reducing food, water, harborage and access — the conditions that allowed the pest to thrive in the first place. The result is safer treatment for families, pets, and food-prep environments — and longer-lasting outcomes than spray-and-leave service.

PAMS — How We Work

Prevention. Eliminate the conditions that attract pests — sealing entry points, repairing plumbing leaks, managing waste, advising on storage and sanitation. Before any chemical is applied.

Avoidance. Where pests can’t be entirely prevented, structural and procedural changes keep them out of sensitive zones — kitchens, food prep, clinical spaces, dormitories.

Monitoring. Traps, sticky boards, inspection logs and visit reports track activity over time. Data drives the next decision — escalate, hold, or step down treatment.

Suppression. When treatment is needed, it is the least amount, most targeted method — gel, baiting, ULV misting, steam, or directed spray of MOCCAE-approved product. Never broadcast spray as a default.

Why IPM Matters

  • Safer for families, pets, schools, hospitals and food businesses
  • Lower long-term pesticide load on indoor environments
  • Better-lasting results than reactive spraying
  • Compliant with Dubai Municipality and MOCCAE regulations
  • Reduces the chance of pest resistance to chemicals
